Dr. D’Arcy Durand is a miracle worker!
I have never met a better doctor!
My son was hit by a train 7 years ago. Dr. Durand rebuilt one of my son’s legs because it had been all-but destroyed in the accident. My son’s second leg had to be immediately amputated mid-calf. During that first surgery, Dr. Durand and his team also removed 2 fragments of bone from my son’s forehead which had impacted his brain. Luckily, there was no brain damage.
5 months later my son made the only decision left about the horrible situation and had to choose to have his rebuilt leg amputated through his knee.
Dr. Durand was his surgeon for the entire nightmare remains of the accident.
Dr. Durand also made all of the follow-up appoints with my son - personally and did not pawn the appointments off on anyone else. When Dr. Durand was teaching other doctors in his field, it was Dr. Durand who showed them personally what to do with my son’s care.
Dr. Durand operated on my son many times and has helped him make a great recovery from the horrid accident.
My son is not paralyzed and has achieved amazing results and is now walking on two prosthetic legs. That recovery started with the trauma team at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and was made possible with every heart-felt thank you to Dr. Durand and his amazing team of doctors and nurses.
